TheGame.Ng (also referred to as “TheGameNG” or “TheGame”) is owned and operated by GIGIMOBILE TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS LTD (“Gigimobile”) and we (“Gigimobile”) are dedicated to protecting your personal information and informing you about how we use your information. This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.thegame.ng (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions Document.

All proper nouns will have the same definitions and meanings as defined by the Terms of Use. Please review this privacy policy periodically, as we may revise it from time to time without notice. If you do not agree with or accept our Privacy Policy in its entirety, you must not access or use the Platform. If you use the platform following a change to the terms of this Privacy Policy, you agree to accept the revised policies.

 

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

At TheGame.Ng, we collect personally identifiable information (“PII”) and non-personally identifiable (“Non-PII”) information from you. Personally, identifiable information is information that can be used to identify you personally. Non-personally identifiable information is information that must be combined with other information to identify you personally.

 

-       PERSONALLY​ ​IDENTIFIABLE​ ​INFORMATION​ ​COLLECTED

You will not be required to provide us any information when you visit our Platform. However, in order to fully use our Platform, we may collect PII such as your name, address, email, and telephone number. Additionally, if you wish to fund your wallet or withdraw funds we must collect your payment information which is stored and secured by our third-party payment processing service, Paystack. Paystack’s systems and processes are in line with international best practices. Paystack ensures fraud prevention and security compliance standards.

 

-       NON-IDENTIFYING​ ​INFORMATION (OR DEVICE INFORMATION)

Sometimes, when you use our platform, we may collect non-identifying information from you, such as your IP address, location, age, gender, browsing history, search history, and registration history, interactions with the website, location, referring URL, browser, operating system, data usage, data transferred, and Internet Service Provider. We may also collect information including but not limited to postings you make on the public areas of our website, messages you send to us, and correspondence we receive from other members or third parties about your activities or postings. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

a.) To provide services to you and to operate the TheGame Platform

c.) To contact you via email, text, or electronic communications regarding or related to the TheGame

d.) To share with other users, where necessary (e.g. to showcase those players on the leaderboard).

f.) To share your information with third party partners or third parties hired by us to perform functions and provide services to us on the condition that the third parties use your information only on our behalf and pursuant to our instructions. Additionally, we may give your information to law enforcement, if we are compelled to do so, by a court order, if there has been a violation of any laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, laws of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), laws of the African Union or if a violation of the Terms of Use or Privacy Policy has occurred.

 

ACCESSING, ​ ​EDITING, ​ ​AND​ ​DELETING​ ​YOUR​ ​INFORMATION

You will be able to access any information contained in your account through our Platform. You may edit that information by removing or changing the information listed in your account. After you have cancelled your account, please be aware that we may keep inaccessible copies of your information subject to our data retention policies.

 

HOW WE USE COOKIES

1. A cookie is a small file, which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added, and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a site.

2. We may disclose personal information to law enforcement authorities, The National Lottery Regulation Commission and other regulatory bodies, in the good faith that such disclosure is reasonably necessary in the regular course of our operations.

3. We may share your personal information with other corporate entities and our affiliates to help detect and prevent identity theft, fraud and other potentially illegal acts.

4. We reserve the right to share your personal information with our trusted business partners, including third party analytics and social plugin providers (such as Google, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) in the regular course of business. Our trusted business partners process your information in line with their own privacy practices. However, note that the third parties referred to cannot access your personal information or any information that is traceable to a player.

5. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties.

 

SECURITY​ ​MEASURES WE PUT IN PLACE

We make reasonable attempts to protect your information by using physical and electronic safeguards. For this reason, we use SSL certificates, PCI/DSS compliant hosting, and vulnerability scanning to enhance our Platform security. However, as this is the Internet, we can make no guarantees as to the security or privacy of your information. For this reason, we recommend that you use anti-virus software, routine credit checks, firewalls, and other precautions to protect yourself from security and privacy threats.

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.
